Deptartment of Zoology

Government Post Graduate College Gairsain was established in 2001. Department of Zoology was created in the 2015. At present the curriculum conducted here is setup by Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Badshahithual New Tehri. The department has a classroom cum laboratory having optimum facilities. And in future a well furnished classroom along with well equipped laboratory would be here.The Department organizes various co-curricular activities such as Quiz, Speech, Debates, Poster Making etc. on different occasion .

Currently Mrs. Ganga is working as an Assistant Professor as well as in charge of Zoology department. She completed her Master of Science (M.Sc.) from Govt. Post Graduate College Gopeshwar and qualified in Uttarakhand State Eligibility Test (U-SET). She is serving in Higher Education since 2020 and before that she also Served as an Assistant Teacher and Lecturer in GGIC Tharali (Chamoli) and GIC Narayanbagar (Chamoli) respectively.
